St. John’s Quilters
Our group is a result of a quilt exhibition which was held in the old hall in 2010. Plans went ahead to expand the church. Fundraising was needed, and it was decided to give this a go. From this is it was discovered we had 10 ladies who did quilting in our church and belong to other groups and it was suggested we start one ourselves. So, in June 2011 we were formed.
As part of the church’s outreach, a beginner’s class was started on a Monday night, which suited ladies with children or who worked. They meet on a fortnightly basis.
We welcome everyone who enjoys making quilts or who want to learn.
Our get togethers are the third Saturday in the month 10am – 3pm fee $5
- Every Wednesday from 10am – 1pm fee $3
- Beginners group meet fortnightly on a Monday 6.30pm – 8.30pm $2
